Are You My Mother?

Have any of your students
ever called you "Mom"?
Seriously?!  Every day
for the last 24 years.
...and they get quite embarassed
when they do.
I just roll with it.
Just another day in paradise.
If or when it happens,
typically when they realize
what they said, their eyes
will get really big, and their
mouths will drop open in shock.
We just laugh it off, and I typically say...
"Mrs. Davis...I'm Mrs. Davis."
Then we move on getting back to work.
I have four kids of my own,
and although I love my students...
I Am Definitely NOT Their Mother.
However, I am their teacher,
and I have high hopes for them!

So here's for high hopes of
writing skills happening
this time of year:,204,203,200_QL40_&dpSrc=srch

May your writings be full of
capitals at the beginning of sentences,
spaces between words,
end punctuation marks.

I am not your mother

I am not your mother!

That's better!
